We started off this month with a 4 day weekend thanks to election day which ended up as a sweep for the republican party, taking control of the Senate along with the White House. Trump was elected for his second term after winning all the swing states, which included Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. But surely everyone’s heard enough about the election this year, so let’s move on to school related news.
Woodford pulled an impressive win over Dixie Heights on Friday November 8th in our first home game in a while. On November 15th our season came to an end with a loss that took us out of the postseason bracket.
Winter sports kicked off this month including womens and mens basketball and the WCHS swim and dive team. Archery is well underway and wrestling has had an exciting start as well.
Several WCHS students committed and signed to continue their education for sports. Congratulations to Sophie Paul, who will play soccer at Georgetown College, Armelo Boone who will further his basketball career at Western Kentucky University, and Ryan Hendrix who also signed for WKU.
