Glittering lights, elegant outfits, and nonstop dancing made Prom of 2026 at Woodford County High School one of the most unforgettable nights of the school year. Held on April 25th, Saturday evening at 8:00 pm, students gathered with friends and dates to celebrate the end of another memorable chapter in high school. For some it was their first and for others it was their last.
This year’s prom theme was “Old Hollywood”. With the help of teachers and students they were able to transform our high school gym into a magical scene filled with sparkling decorations, good music, and picture-perfect moments. From the moment Woodford students walked the red carpet, excitement filled the air as everyone admired the stunning setup and each other’s creative styles.
One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the crown Prom King and Queen, seniors Jacob Chaney and Bella Ruzzene. When interviewed, Chaney said, “I can’t be a king without my queen.” Then, when Ruzzene was interviewed, she said, “I had so much fun at prom!” After announcing the Prom King and Queen that beloved WCHS students voted on, the rest of Prom was spent having a great time with friends.
Teachers and chaperones also enjoyed seeing students come together to celebrate safely and respectfully. WCHS students appreciate those who helped make this night so magical. A special thank you goes out to the parents and photographers that helped with the red carpet, making everything feel all the more special to the students.
Prom of 2026 at Woodford County High School was more than just a dance, it was a time no one would forget. As the night came to an end, students left with smiles, photos, and memories they will cherish for years to come.
