This Saturday, April 25, from 9am-1pm Woodford County High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes and organizations will be hosting a CTE Showcase. As the 25th is the opening day of the Agriculture department’s greenhouse, the rest of the CTE departments will be joining in to showcase their projects, skills, and to sell products/services that they have made or learned how to perform in their CTE classes. The showcase will be located in the back of the new high school by the greenhouse and barn.
This event is open to the entire community and they greatly encourage and would appreciate community support for the students and CTE programs.
A quick look ahead at products and services that will be provided, as well as projects that will be showcased are listed below:
- Agriculture and FFA: Greenhouse plant sales, student lawn care business, student fresh pork and eggs, homemade earrings, Mrs. Shepard’s class birdseed treats, agriscience fair projects, and more.
- Engineering and TSA: 3D printed products and gifts, personalized laser engraving, baseball/trucker hat “bar” with personalized patches, class projects, and more.
- Family Consumer Sciences and FCCLA: Baked goods, freeze dried trail mix, coffee, slushees, and more.
