If you’ve ever been to a Woodford County football game, parade, or pep rally, chances are you’ve seen the Woodford County Band and Choir. Whether they are marching on the field or singing on the stage, these two groups define what Woodford County spirit is about. Our band is known for its high-energy performances and has impressed many in regional competitions. The Woodford band had won 2nd place in Taylor County out of 13 and outscored Bourbon County, which is a successful band that has won national championships in the past few years. I’m sure there’s no better feeling than stepping onto that field and hearing them cheering, knowing they’ve worked so hard to get there.

While the band brings the beat, it’s the Woodford County Choir that brings the emotion. The choir is more than just a music group. It has numerous opportunities for students to be united with talent and is a community where students can grow not only as performers but as individuals. The choir worked hard last year, putting on a Broadway showcase with the University of Kentucky Chorale and everyone got to shine individually.  The choir community and marching band show how much Woodford County values being a community and all the hard work they put in.
