With the Kentucky high school football playoffs about to start, Woodford County is looking like a top contender. The Jackets had a great regular season, going 9-1. Now, it’s time for the Jackets to make history!
The Boone County Rebels are the Jackets’ first game in the playoffs. The Rebels will be coming to the Jackets’ home stadium Friday night looking for an easy win; however, Woodford has had some key players this year who showed out during the regular season and will make a big impact in the playoffs: Darrian Tomlin, running back, is ranked seventh in the state in rushing yards and is having an outstanding season; Foxx Coons, quarterback, has thrown for over three thousand yards so far; Omari Jointer, receiver, ranked thirteenth in the state for receiving.

The Jackets are ready to go for the playoffs, and have become a team to look out for as they strive to make it to the top.
