From start to finish, Woodford County had one of the best offensive performances of the season, topping Scott County by only seven points in a wild game that showcased both the team’s high level offenses, which were endlessly exchanging impressive plays. The Yellow Jackets came out aggressive and never backed down, turning the matchup into an offensive shoot-out that had both teams ready to go.
Leading the way for Woodford County was quarterback Fox Coons, who had a show-stopping day on offense. He threw multiple touchdowns, finding receivers like Omari Jointer and Jalen Johnson in open space. Running back Darrian Tomlin also had a notable role in breaking through Scott County’s defense for key rushing touchdowns.

While most of the game was back and forth, Woodford County made the critical plays when it counted most. Defensive leaders Elias Tackett and Kade Gilliam came up with fantastic tackles, with the Woodford County defense stopping the Cards on fourth down in the Jackets’ five yard line, allowing Woodford to hold onto their lead and seal the victory 57-50!
