KSR Game Of The Week!
The KSR game of the week between the #21 Woodford County Yellow Jackets and the South Oldham Dragons was absolutely a game to remember! With the Yellow Jackets beating the Dragons 52-12 in an absolute blowout. Holding place on October 3rd 2025.
The Woodford County Yellow Jackets were playing the South Oldham Dragons holding a grudge against them from the previous year after being beaten 32-27. The Jackets were ready for this game practicing hard knowing they had to get revenge on the Dragons. The game started off with the junior running back Darrian Tomlin setting the tone early, finding a hole and breaking away with a 42 yard touchdown, giving the Jackets an early lead just over a minute into the game. South Oldham converted two third downs on its opening possession. However, the Woodford County defense stepped up forcing the Dragons to punt. The next offensive series for Woodford County could not be stopped. Junior quarterback Fox Coons hit a wide open Senior Jalen Johnson in stride for a 49 yard touchdown. Woodford County’s defense came back with back-to-back fourth down stops allowing the offense to get back on the field scoring twice before the half with Coons hitting Junior Omari Jointer for a 34 yard score before finding Junior Grayson Hodge for a 20 yard touchdown on the ensuring drive to give Woodford county a 31-0 lead at half. Starting the second half Coons hit Johnson for yet another score. The Dragons got the ball, scoring a 65 yard rushing touchdown. The very next play having to kick it to senior defensive back Elijah Ward taking it to the house with a 85 yard touchdown, wrapping the game up. This shows the whole team contributed; from scout team players to varsity players, the Yellow Jackets beat South Oldham on an amazing Friday night!
The Jacket dominated the Dragons winning 52-12. The Woodford offense was off the charts as was the defense only allowing 12 points. The Jackets are heading to Shelbyville Kentucky for next week’s game against the Collins Titans!
