When you think about football, usually you imagine the players on the team, but behind the Woodford County football team there is a group of girls who manage everything behind the scene. These girls make sure practices and games go smoothly and guarantee all the players are taken care of, while the coaches can prioritize the well-being and success of their athletes. The girls behind it all, Kiya Howard, Abigail Duncan, Evelynn Duncan and Carly Branson, play a huge role on the field, performing a variety of tasks, including sorting through jerseys to check if there is any damage from previous games (and ordering replacements when needed), filling and transporting water coolers and setting up hydration stations on the sidelines, running errands for coaches and trainers so that they can remain focused on the game, and performing technology-oriented tasks pregame. No matter the job, they’re always prepared. The Football Managers dedicate their every day to football and always show up early to make sure that everything runs smoothly before, during, and after the game so the coaches can stay focused on the players. Their behind-the-scenes work deserves more recognition on the field.
