Woodford County High School’s Spectacular Cafeteria Food

A satirical take on school lunches.

  • Really appreciated the grayness of the chicken here. It was a nice change from the typical white color I am used to.

    '
  • White carrots with brown spots–my favorite! They even added some dry shredded cheese, moisture is so last year.

    '
  • More gray chicken! This time in patty form!

    '
  • Want some pizza with your grease?

    '
  • “Meatless” spaghetti sauce with suspicious brown chunks in it… intriguing.

    '
  • I always look forward to our flavorless, green-less broccoli. Especially on the days that it’s served with extra mush, making it a fun game trying to pick it up with my fork.

    '
  • Our school is so good at paying attention to our preferences! The countless leftover apple sauces from school breakfasts must have indicated that we students were craving even more for lunch.

    '
  • How many shades of yellow can a single serving of mac & cheese have?

Although this food was fun to nitpick and find humor in, I must let the viewers know: I realize that these school lunches may be the only meal options for some students. The food served here at our school is totally edible, and some days are better days than others. These photos only give you a glimpse at, in my opinion, some of our less favorable lunch themes. I also acknowledge that our cafeteria employees work hard to serve all student’s lunches, which I’m sure can be hectic for the lunch ladies at times. So let’s enjoy the humor and stay humble!
