One of the biggest things about fall is the Starbucks Drinks! Influencers are the first one there to try the first pumpkin spice latte of the season. The pumpkin spice latte is very controversial, people love it or they hate it. I’m going to try the drinks, alongside Kate Rannenberg and Lilli Ward. We are going to write about the taste and the presentation of these four drinks from Starbucks – Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, the new Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso, the new Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte. There was also some pastry options we wanted to try; the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, the new Baked Apple Croissant, and the Pumpkin and Pepita Loaf.
- The Pumpkin Spice Latte is: Espresso and steamed milk with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg topped with whipped cream. This one is very debatable, I personally think that it is better iced because the spice is not as strong, it’s the perfect balance in the iced version. Lilli drinks tea on the daily and is more into the bitter aspect of the drink than the sweeter side. Kate was kind of on the fence about it, not knowing what it was about the drink that was throwing her off.
- The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is: Cold brew sweetened with vanilla – flavored syrup, finished with pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin – spice topping. Like I said, I am not a big fan of the coffee flavor and this one was straight up coffee so this one was not my favorite. Kate and Lilli liked it more when you stir up the cold foam with the coffee because it makes it a bit more sweeter but you still have that strong coffee taste.
- The new Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso is: Layers of Starbucks Blonde Espresso, spiced apple flavors and creamy oat milk. Again, not the biggest fan of the taste of coffee so this one was a veto for me. Lilli really enjoyed this one but she prefers it iced. Kate did not like this one as much because she thought it was very bland.
- The new Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte is: A blend of black tea infused with warming spices and milk, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam. This one is my fave. I don’t like the strong coffee flavor as much so if you don’t like the coffee flavor then this one’s for you. Kate and Lilli both agreed that it was really sweet compared to the drinks that they enjoy.
- The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin is: A spiced pumpkin muffin with sweet cream – cheese filling and a pepita sprinkling. We all really liked how the cream cheese balanced the sweetness from the muffin, the muffin did have a strong spice flavor to it so the cream cheese helped balance it out.
- The new Baked Apple Croissant is: Our flaky croissant wrapped around warm apple filling and baked to a golden – brown finish. Me and Kate both agreed that there was more bread than filling which made the bread feel kinda doughy to me. Lilli really enjoyed it, she liked the amount of filling considering the sweetness of it.
- The Pumpkin and Pepita Loaf is: Gently spiced pumpkin bread topped with crunchy pepita, and it’s vegetarian. This item is an all year round treat. It’s a heavy loaf but it’s delicious and filling. It was delicious but we all agreed that there was not a lot of pumpkin flavor then what we would expect.
This was so fun to do, especially with friends. I also wanted to add that the pricing for all the drinks was reasonable considering the add ons like the cold foam. I highly suggest trying some of these drinks out.
