Singley Strong is a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping families battling cancer through events, meals, and financial assistance. Battling cancer has lasting effects on the body and mind, not only for the patient but for the family as well. The Singley Strong organization continues to spread the message that you are never alone and also wants to spread God’s love and encouragement to all people affected by cancer. The main mission of Singley Strong is to host events to help families spend time together, something they often don’t get to do because of time spent in the hospital. Another big thing they do is raise money to ease financial burden. When having a family member going through chemotherapy, oftentimes you are stuck at the hospital for weeks at a time not being able to work so Singley Strong providing financial assistance during these hard times is a lifesaver. Joe Singley (Founder of Singley Strong) is part of the Cincinnati Reds organization, so many wishes to get players’ autographs or to meet some of the Reds players are granted to families. Overall, Singley Strong wants to assist with the quality of everyday life for cancer patients and families. Joe Singley emphasizes that Jesus loves you and that all things are possible through Him!
Singley Strong night was at Great American Ball Park on Friday, August 30th where The Cincinnati Reds faced off against the Milwaukee Brewers. Our very own Woodford County resident Anaiah Wilson who was diagnosed with Leukemia on August 11th, 2023, was able to show her strength and throw the first pitch at the game! For every ticket that is sold a percentage of the profit goes back to the Singley strong organization so that they will be able to help these families affected by cancer. Before the game, the organization invited dozens of families affected by cancer to come out on the field for a pregame parade, a march around the whole stadium. Hundreds of families came out to the game this year showing support and gratitude to the foundation and will all be forever grateful for the experiences Joe Singley and the Singley Strong Foundation have provided.
