As spring training is approaching and pitchers and catchers report this week the Cincinnati Reds have a bright young core of talent including shortstop Elly De La Cruz. Who was the number 1 prospect in baseball this past season before getting called up to the bigs in mid-June. 

Although Elly didn’t have the season he was expected to the rookie had a lot of promising moments including in just his 2nd career big league game hitting a double and home run against the Los Angeles Dodgers. His most electric game of his young career came on June 26th a Friday night game against the Atlanta Braves where Elly hit for the cycle this means he hit a single, double, triple, and home run all in just 1 game this was one of the best major league games all season as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the braves 11-10.

Watch out for Elly this year to have a huge season as this soon-to-be star has as much talent as anyone in the game right now.
