Spreading Christmas Cheer at Mustard Seed Hill
A look at a new spectacular holiday tradition that you’ll want to partake in with friends and family.
Located in Millersburg, Kentucky, the heart of Bourbon County just 30-minutes outside of Lexington, Christmas at Mustard Seed Hill is a celebration of joy and community. The fourth annual Christmas at Mustard Seed Hill event kicked off on Saturday, Nov. 27th, and continues through Saturday, Jan. 1st.
Visitors of Mustard Seed Hill experience a magnificent light display, which spans over 3-acres and includes a 30 foot tall ribbon tree, a 14 foot tall illuminated walk-through ornament, and many more beautiful displays, which you will have to check out!
Also included on the campus, in the newly-renovated McIntyre Hall, is the 3rd Annual Gingerbread House competition, with over 60 handmade houses on display. The champion houses are shown at the historic Allen House. These gingerbread masterpieces will be up until December 23rd.
One last feature of Mustard Seed Hill is the Artisan Market. According to their website, the market includes “a lineup of 60+ artists” which provide “more than 200 handmade products” including “handcrafted wooden toys, cutting boards, pottery, home décor, one-of-a-kind ornaments, jewelry, soaps, clothing and bakery items.”
The lights and main campus are on and open from 5-9 PM nightly. Tickets are $5 for general admission, and all youth under 7 get in free! According to the website, “All ticket proceeds for Christmas at Mustard Seed Hill will be used to support relief efforts for those affected by the devastating tornadoes and storms across Kentucky.” Directions to Mustard Seed Hill can be found here, and if you wish to buy tickets you can do so here!
