During the changing of seasons, finding new clothes to fit the weather can become pricey! Checking out your local Goodwill or thrift store is a great way to find some new additions for your own collection of clothes, or to some of your own that you don’t wear anymore for someone else to love. You could save lots of money if you check out the different kinds of clothes thrift stores can offer when going clothes shopping.
Thrift stores, such as Goodwill, is a place where you can donate clothing you no longer wear and other things for someone else to treasure. If you are on a budget or looking for some cheap finds, these stores are the perfect places to go and search!
Right as you walk in, you notice all of the organized clothes and their prices above the racks.For the majority of the clothing items range from $2-$6, and have many different options for whatever occasion.
You can find all kind of accessories, like belts and scarves. They are usually priced around $1.79 which is great when saving for the winter season!
There is wide selection of shoes for both men and women. These can range from dress shoes, athletic shoes, and children’s shoes at prices of $2-$5.

The price of women’s coats was $6.29. They are very warm and make a great piece for an outfit. The range of colors was very impressive but mostly had neutral colors.
Another great thrift store is Street Scene in Lexington! It is located at 2575 Regency Rd, Lexington, KY 40503. They offer vintage clothes from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

I have bought quite a lot of clothes from Street Scene, and I recommend checking it out if you are looking to find something original. It is priced a little higher than places like Goodwill, but it’s a wonderful place to look around and get some new additions for your closet!
