The 2025-26 NFL season has just begun, and countless fans are excited to see their favorite teams back on the field.
Americans are extremely excited to discuss who will win the Super Bowl this year. On the topic of the ultimate football spotlight, one shouldn’t forget what happened last year: the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.
Many fans are talking about the Eagles’ success, but recently, the Eagles have had the same struggles that they experienced at the start of the 2023 season. These “struggles” include: a lack of passing yards, slow starts to games, the defense is struggling to build chemistry, and Jalen Hurts isn’t playing like he did in the Super Bowl.
Fans are starting to point out similarities between the new offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo, and the 2023 offensive coordinator, Brian Johnson.
These two coordinators both have their play-calling struggles that stall the Eagles’ offense on crucial drives.
These problems have been made very obvious since Nick Sirianni himself (The Eagles Head Coach) has stated the following, “So, it’s hard to win. What we’ll do is we’ll stay hungry, we’ll stay humble, and we’ll look at the things we messed up and we’ve got to fix. Did we play like a championship-level team today? No, not by any means. We had mistakes that, first and foremost, always are going to be on me.” Many Eagles fans hope these issues can be addressed quickly, allowing Jalen Hurts to start playing like the Super Bowl-winning quarterback he is.
Another prominent issue is the underutilization of A.J. Brown. Brown is a top-three wide receiver in the NFL, yet in the past two weeks of the season, Brown has only accumulated six receptions for 35 yards and zero touchdowns–an abysmal stat line compared to other wide receivers. Plays should be more centered around the Hurts to Brown connection.
In the end, I believe the Philadelphia Eagles will turn their offense around and get their playmakers more involved, and hopefully, in doing that, they will win another Super Bowl.
