At this point, I am just a Abby Jimenez Finatic! On April 1st, 2025, Abby Jimenez released the first book in another stand alone series, Say You’ll Remember Me. I was so excited to read it, I bought it the day it came out! I was really excited, mainly about reading the start of the new series, but also because I had heard a bunch of good reviews from influencers who got sent the book ahead of time to be able to review the book before it came out to hype people up about its release.
Say You’ll Remember Me is about a veterinarian, Xavier, and a Heinz Mustard Social Media creator, Samantha. They met at Xaviers Vet clinic and instantly felt a spark. They end up going on a date the night before Samantha flies out to California to move there in hopes of regaining a relationship with her mother who suffers from dementia. The book shows the ups and downs of a long distance relationship, which honestly can be very helpful for someone who is going through a long distance relationship because of the topics that these characters talk about throughout the book. The conversations that were had were very informal about what it’s like to be in this kind of relationship and the effort you have to give one another in this type of situation.
I really enjoyed reading this book because it honestly felt like a real relationship. Most rom-com books can be a bit of a stretch when it comes to the scenarios that occur in the books. But reading this book, it all seemed like accurate representations of things that can happen in relationships, and how to get through them.
If you like long distance or love at first sight tropes then I highly recommend this book! It was such a fast read and It was very well written, meaning it wasn’t slow. With a long distance trope, it can make the storyline slower but the way Abby Jimenez wrote it made it very entertaining the whole way through.
