As you may have seen in many reports, the Trump administration threatened to cut federal funding for public schools that practice anything under the broad spectrum of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The reasoning is not backed up, and I am certain the government is lying about why.
“Yet today, roughly 60 years after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, critical and influential institutions of American society, including the Federal Government, major corporations, financial institutions, the medical industry, large commercial airlines, law enforcement agencies, and institutions of higher education have adopted and actively use dangerous, demeaning, and immoral race- and sex-based preferences under the guise of so-called “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) or “diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility” (DEIA) that can violate the civil-rights laws of this Nation.” – An executive order from a convicted felon, January 21, 2025.
To comply, the Department of Education launched a portal on its website named enddei.org. This was done so anybody could report practices of “discrimination” and “indoctrination,” terms used vaguely, which take place in the field of public education. If I may reword it in a way many right-wing Americans will say, you can report schools for being too woke. On February 14, 2025, a letter was sent from Craig Trainor (involved in the department) regarding their efforts. I’ll list a few quotes from the document:
“The law is clear: treating students differently on the basis of race to achieve nebulous goals such as diversity, racial balancing, social justice, or equity is illegal under controlling Supreme Court precedent.”
“Educational institutions have toxically indoctrinated students with the false premise
that the United States is built upon “systemic and structural racism” and advanced
discriminatory policies and practices.”
“To date, the Supreme Court has recognized only two interests as compelling in the context of
race-based action: (1) “remediating specific, identified instances of past discrimination
that violated the Constitution or a statute”; and (2) “avoiding imminent and serious risks
to human safety in prisons, such as a race riot.” Nebulous concepts like racial balancing
and diversity are not compelling interests.”
“Institutions that fail to comply with federal civil rights law may, consistent with
applicable law, face potential loss of federal funding.”
Let’s investigate what these are and aren’t saying: Nowhere do they define terms such as diversity and racial balancing, presenting them in a negative light. Racial balancing is simply an effort to further fight against segregation, and diversity is, well, a state of being diverse. Life itself is a diverse thing. They do not give any examples as to how social justice and equity treat people of different races unfairly, and given the very definition of those words, they either are making them look bad on purpose or do not understand what they mean. It is impossible to discriminate on the basis of equity and social justice, it is the most pathetic whining I have heard from our world’s oppressors. Here is a quote from an email I received from the an information resource specialist in response to some of my questions: “However, schools must consider whether any school programming discourages members of all races from attending, either by excluding or discouraging students of a particular race or races, or by creating hostile environments based on race for students who do participate.” This quote means they are trying to support diversity, equity, and inclusion of students. But somehow, at the same time, those efforts are there to end it?
This is all likely to be based upon emotion, just to mess with people, and though it comes from what we call conservative thinkers, it is not clear what they are trying to conserve.
The second quote listed is perhaps the most dangerous, America trying to (again) display a false history because those in charge do not want to accept the truth. America was physically built by enslaved people who were deemed inferior due to their skin color. That is systematically racist. America tried to justify its expansion by projecting its desires to steal from and destroy the lives of other human beings, telling itself it was morally upheld by its god. That is systematically racist. Throughout this nation’s entire history, it has presented a certain race or minority group as the source of our problems, the present is no exception. America is an objectively racist country.
Their emphasis on “safety in prisons” in terms of discrimination is contradictory to their political stance. They are in support of an administration run by a convicted felon who does not respect the law, and that administration is punishing and detaining those who may or may not be here illegally. The administration has ignored court orders to withhold the deportation of hundreds of people, innocent people being sent to foreign prisons, sometimes even by mistake. Private prison companies such as GEO Group and CoreCivic have been making a lot of money off of detainees, forcing them to do work keeping the facility in shape with extremely little pay (many of them don’t get to eat if they don’t work). The Department of Education is trying to comply with an administration that works towards the abduction of people based on race.
More confusion arises when real-world examples of DEI being abolished are considered. Just March of 2025, a middle school teacher named Sarah Inama in Idaho was ordered by her administration to take down a poster with the words “everyone is welcome here.” The reasoning for such an order was that the subject is now controversial in this political climate, and in an interview with MSNBC, she stated she was told “‘Everyone is welcome here’ is not something everyone agrees.” According to that video, the reasoning for the removal was not the words themselves, but was instead because the poster depicted different skin tones of hands, and that the poster would have been accepted if all of the hands were one straight tone. Inama thankfully resisted and put the poster back up a few days later. Another contradiction arises, where discrimination is upheld on the basis that discrimination against equality must be ended. If I weren’t informed, I’d assume this was all a joke.
One point the district makes, which recurs from Craig Trainor’s letter, is that teaching Critical Race Theory is indoctrination, though I do not see how showing different colored hands outright states “my country is systematically racist.” The fact they tried to get the poster to be taken down shows that Critical Race Theory is pretty damn accurate, though.
I’ve sent a couple of emails myself asking questions, like “what is the punishment for practicing DEI?” and “how does equity cause discrimination?” None of my questions were answered, and the answers they gave were redundant information (likely from a robot). Something new I saw mentioned was “other schools have sought to veil discriminatory policies with terms like ‘social-emotional learning’ or ‘culturally responsive’ teaching.” Specifically, the mention of social-emotional learning being potentially harmful is such an absurd thing. There was no elaboration. The Department of Education has things like relationship skills, self-management, and emotional intelligence on some sort of list of what to prohibit. This implies they do not want students to be thinking. This implies they want to design us into being thoughtless, and I’ve seen it working for a long time.
End DEI is a movement to censor the existence of anybody whom the oppressors do not like. There is no clear reasoning presented. We must not comply. Any citizen of the modern world should understand the extent our current administration is deeply deranged, psychotic, ill-willed, and selfish.
