“When life is hard, remember it’s often in these moments that strength grows the deepest.’’ Like in the picture above, life right now is pretty rough, rainy, and dark. I realized today in digital journalism class that a lot is happening and we often mask it with laughter. However, how do we deal with it at the end of the day? For instance, we were in our stand-up meeting in which we shared news going on around the world, and the topic of deportation came up and how many kids are gonna be taken away from their homes; to many this is heartbreaking. Alongside this many bad weather tragedies. Somebody very close to me quoted something saying, ‘’ Half the world is on fire, and half covered in ice.’’ Overall a lot is happening, some people’s rights are even on the brink of being taken. So many people with so many beliefs, it’s all causing chaos. In the words of Tupac, ‘’ We got to start making changes, Learn to see a brother instead of two different strangers.’’ Overall we can conclude that life right now is not the best. So what can we do about it?
To begin, let’s note how in the picture it’s raining, which may seem irrelevant but rain helps things grow, going along with the quote at the beginning we grow through the hardest times. Right now things are rainy or hard and oftentimes it’s hard to keep going and keep having a positive attitude when so much is going on. However we can’t control most things, we can in the words of a close friend, ‘’only hope for the best.’’ Going along with this we can remain strong even when we don’t have the strength. In this time though we can control some things like talking about all the corrupt things and informing people on all the things happening around the world so that maybe we can all make a difference. We also can try and remain strong for others who can’t be strong right now.
Going along with the idea of us all making a difference we must all come together, no matter our political beliefs to help others, because at the end of the day, we all bleed the same blood despite color or beliefs. We need to be there for each other. What we must remember is that we are all people and if you judge somebody based on certain things at the end of the day you may miss out on a great person. The main thing I’m getting at here is that we have to come together because we can’t control everything, and I’m not gonna sugarcoat it, things are horrible but all we can do is come together and make a difference.
During these hard times, we must all come together despite beliefs or other aspects, we must help one another and be strong for one another, and we must inform others of the things happening and take a stand together. We need to take control of the things we can and know that it’s in these times that we grow the most.
