Girls United has been working really to make this school come together in a beautiful way. The group leader is Ms. Gibson who holds meetings in her room every Tuesday. Girls United is a club for both boys and girls, and their mission is to bring everyone together and promote unity throughout the school. “Girls United is a way that people from different social groups can come together and build each other up instead of tear each other down.

I had a vision of this club when I taught in Anderson County, but I didn’t follow through with it until I came to Woodford County and the students came to me with a similar idea,” said Gibson.

Girls United has already made a positive difference by renovating the girl’s bathroom in the English hallway. They painted, decorated, and left inspirational messages throughout the entire restroom. The club is letting other clubs  show their positivity and creativity by letting other groups decorate the other bathrooms around the school.  It truly represents pride in our school and encourages students to continue to be respectful and responsible in lovely surroundings.
