Some Music and entertainment that showed up were: Jane’s School of Dance, The Band Encore Of Lexington, Kentucky Bourbon Trailers, The Quilla Rose, Second Strings, Matt Castle, Sherry Sebastian Duo, and Deep Nourished Roots.
Entertainment Highlight: Jane’s School of Dance
Jane’s School of Dance is a dance studio here in Versailles. We performed a group dance as well as an acro demonstration and solos from last season.
I love that I got to participate in the Twilight Festival because I really enjoy performing for our community. We also don’t get to show our talent to our town that much. Therefore, these opportunities are important so that people who live locally can see what we do. I also love seeing all of the local businesses get support.
Lots of WCHS clubs and businesses showed up at the Twilight Festival. Madalyn Campbell helped out with project graduation by hosting a bake sale. “I helped with the bake sale for project graduation. There are not a lot of ways I can really help right now but I love baking and I got to get involved with my baking” Madalyn said. There are lots of ways to raise money for programs and schools by participating in the Twilight Festival. “I love getting to see all of the vendors and local shops come together and support each other. I also love the environment and deep connection within the community. It is also something that doesn’t happen very often which makes it very special.”
Living in the small town of Versailles is really cool because when living in a smaller community, you have a different kind of connection with people. “Living in a small town, I love the simplicity of it and how there is a deep connection within the community. You can see people you know and you have a deep connection with them.” The Twilight Festival is also very inclusive and accepting of every person and business. “Lots of different people showed up at my booth. There were lots of families, older adults, kids, pretty much anyone.”
The Twilight Festival grows bigger every year with more people and more things to do!
It would be amazing if you came to the Twilight Festival because everyone gets to come together with friends, family, and the community and support our local businesses.
