FCCLA Week 2023.

FCCLA stands for Family Career and Community leaders of America. Every year there is a week to promote and do things within FCCLA. This year it was February 13-17. Come along to see what the Chapter officers planned for this fun week.

On Monday FCCLA gave out member Valentines for members that participate in the club. A little bag of candy was stapled to a cute little paper with a valentines note on it. It was also member Monday and that is why they got the Valentines. FCCLA is a key club for welcoming new people from all different walks of life.

Tuesday was dedicated to service. All FCCLA officers and or members wore Rae of Sunshine shirts. This is an organization that spreads awareness about mental health. It was started by a mother who lost her daughter suddenly to suicide. It is a fantastic organization. To learn more about this foundation click the link below.

On Wednesday the chapter officers held a teacher breakfast. Anyone in the club could sign up to bring something and many did. Officers arrived at 7:30 in the morning before school to set up the splendid spread that would be provided. There were all sorts of casseroles, donuts, and other things. Overall the breakfast was a success. That same day the club had a chapter meeting, where all of the people in FCCLA got together in a hive. They made valentines for people in the nursing home.

Thursday was also dedicated to service because it can always be used in many different ways. The officers made brownies for all of the bus drivers and custodians. The custodians do so much for the school and the officers wanted to show them that we appreciate all that they do for us.

On Friday the club made brownies for the people that work at the Central office. Two of the officers volunteered to drop them off after school. It was also the day that we all wore FCCLA red or any FCCLA shirt.
