Best 5 Christmas movies of all time.

Christmas is a big time for lots of people. It can mean cuddling up around a fire and sipping on hot cocoa, or sitting on the couch with a blanket watching a movie. Christmas movies play a big role in the Christmas spirit. They can either be great ones that you will remember and continue to watch every year, or hallmark movies that you can fall asleep to and still know the ending. I am going to tell you my top 5 Christmas movies of all time and why I believe so. These will be going in order from last to first.

Number 5. Daddy’s Home 2

Daddy’s Home 2 is ranked number 5. on my personal list of the top five Christmas movies of all time. This movie is about a dad and a stepfather who have come together for the kids. Their dads come in for the holidays and they all rent a big cabin together. This movie is full of hilarious twists and turns. You never know what is going to come out of someone’s mouth next and it is insanely funny. It incorporates the ups and downs of having a blended family as well as getting you in the Christmas spirit. I highly recommend adding this to your Christmas watch list.

Number 4. It’s a wonderful life

Coming in at number 4. we have It’s a wonderful life. This movie is an all-time Christmas classic and I believe that everyone needs to see this movie at least once in their lifetime. This relays a great message about the importance of family, friendship, and love. It is an older movie but in my opinion that adds to the character of it more. Its wonderful life is about a man (George Bailey) and how he goes through a crisis. Throughout this crisis, during Christmas time he gets reminded of the importance of his family and friendship: it reminds you to hug your loved ones real tight during the holiday season. This is an amazing movie and one of my all-time favorites.

Number 3. Home Alone

Home Alone is right in the middle. This is another Christmas movie that will give you a good laugh while also spreading some good Christmas cheer. Home Alone is about a boy (Kevin) who gets left at home while his family goes on vacation for Christmas. He lives in a very nice neighborhood that some thieves have been keeping an eye on. Now that his family is gone the thieves think they can make their move. Kevin must protect himself and the house on Christmas eve. The ending is great and can make your heart melt. This movie has a great feel in the sense of needing family around Christmas time.

Number 2. Christmas with the Kranks

Christmas with the Kranks is definitely worth my number 2 spot on this list. This movie is about a couple who decided to save money instead of celebrating Christmas. They decide that they are going to go on a cruise instead. It continues on about their struggle with not celebrating Christmas and all the pressures that come with it. This movie has a great family feel and is one you can watch every year without it getting old. I highly recommend watching this movie with your family; it helps realize the importance of Christmas and how important it is to have family around the holidays.

Number 1. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

This has to be my all-time favorite movie of all time. It does have a personal connection to me because my family watches this every year only on Christmas eve because it is such a good movie. If you are looking for a good laugh this should be your go-to. It gives us a look into the chaotic mess of what it means to have family in for the holidays and what Christmas means. It is full of unexpectedness that will make you laugh at every turn. The dad (Clark) is the main character in this film and throughout he has to deal with all of the things that come with a fun-filled, family Christmas. I highly recommend watching this movie, it is sure to make you belly laugh and relay a good message about Christmas time.
