2022 State Fair
See what the Woodford County FFA members did at the State Fair!
On Thursday, August 24th The Woodford County FFA took a trip up to the Kentucky state Fair. We took a bus up to Louisville to view all of the exciting things that the fair offers. This was an agriculture field trip so there were no rides involved, but the students were perfectly fine with that.

The fair provided entertainment and education! We walked around for several hours pondering how people could do such amazing things with agriculture. We went to the cow barn and saw cows everywhere. Personally, I just kept thinking how cool it was that these big animals are not even in a cow pen, the owners of the cows just trust the animals so much. The amount of thought that goes into these animals is unbelievable; it is all about precision and cleanness.

“What I liked about the state fair is being able to spend time with my friends while I was also able to further my knowledge in Ag,” Kerr said. During this trip, the members that went go to grow in their connection with each other. They ate fair food, which was surprisingly not bad, and got ice cream which was not so great.

Overall, this was a great trip for the Woodford County FFA to take. We got to dive deeper into the agriculture of Kentucky and how much our State is involved in our daily tasks. “What I liked most about the State fair was hanging out with my friends and showing my goats,” Ava Ricketts said.
