Best Summer Photo Contest

The Best Summer Photo Contest was created to see what students liked to do in summer. We had many entries that reveal students participating in memorable summer activities. Our winning photo was taken by Christine Slover (12).  The Jacket Journal Staff thought it best showed what students like to do during summer as well as exhibited the elements of a beautiful photo. The second place photo, taken by Eliza Bradshaw (12),  was chosen because it shows good workmanship with a camera as well as a fun and enjoyable setting. The third place winner was captured by Olivia Jackson (10) and was voted third because it showed good times happening with students.

  • This photo was taken and described by Christine Slover (12), “This past summer, I spent five weeks in Colorado. I was at Camp Chief Ouray as a Counselor-in-Training. We did a backpacking trip and then spent time with kids of different ages. This was taken on the last weekend when us CIT’s hiked up a nearby mountain and camped out. This was the best month of my life, because I challenged my comfort zone and made lifelong friends.”
