Mental Illness: Walk a Mile In Its Shoes
WCHS students share the effects of mental illness
Mental illness and mental health are important issues that need to be recognized, especially here at Woodford Couty High School. An anonymous student said, “The effect that it has on people is life-changing, and even if you don’t have a mental illness, you are most likely affected by someone around you who does.”
I recently sent out a form asking students what mental illness/health is and how it has impacted their lives, and then artistically interpreted their responses into photographs that reflected their definitions.
