Let’s Get Our Comic On!
Louisville Supercon took place from Nov. 30th to Dec. 2nd, and I decided to share the experience!

On the way out, I catch a picture with the Louisville Supercon mascot. I can’t wait to go again!

When first entering the convention center, the lobby seems barren. Where could everyone be?
-
The answer is simple; everyone is waiting for doors to open! The top floor is filled with eager visitors. Who will be there? Will I see my favorite character? Can I get an autograph?
-
In reality, there was no way you wouldn’t see at least one of your favorite video games, tv shows, or comics somewhere at the convention.
-
Creators from all across the state (and even out of state) come to showcase and sell their wares.
-
Some even create custom mystery boxes, centered around Steven Universe, The Legend of Zelda, and many more popular series.
-
One man creates real versions of Fortnite masks, along with masks from other games and shows. They even light up!
-
Of course, there are plenty of comic books, art books, manga and novels available for purchase.
-
There are plenty of figurines and collectibles available too! Although, they are quite expensive.
-
After browsing, I also decided to drop by and see different cosplay groups! Many popular cosplayers are here to show their skill. So many are here that they have an entire area!
-
If you’re here with friends, you can even take pictures with fun props! This is a photo op where you can take a picture in The Iron Giant’s hand. Pretty cool, right?
-
After all of that sightseeing, I’m glad to find a small food court in the corner. There’s ramen, barbeque, and gyros! Quite the odd selection, but I’m still happy to eat!
-
To finish off our Supercon experience, I head to the lower floor. Here’s where all of the video game competitions are found, and I fight 5 gym leaders for the title of Louisville Supercon Pokemon Champion!
-
After three tiring hours of battling, I show off my six badges! I’m extremely proud of myself for becoming the champion.
