Emma Hayes: Short Time Woodford County Resident

Emma Hayes has lived in Woodford County for five years. She lived in Ireland as well as Lexington and Paris, Kentucky. She is currently a sophomore at Woodford County High School. She has a younger brother attending Saint Leo.

What is your favorite memory of Woodford County?

My favorite memory of Woodford County would be going to Leofest and the fair every year.

What is one of your favorite things to do in Woodford County?

One of my favorite things to do in Versailles is to go on a run or go ride horses.

What makes you smile?

Hanging out with all my friends.

What is your favorite activity/hobby?

I love to sing and play instruments.

What is one of your favorite moments with your friends in Woodford County?

When we all would get ready for school dances, like Jacketfest and Homecoming.

What would you say to people just moving to Woodford County?

`It’s a great community and the people are all really nice and so welcoming. It’s a nice quiet town and it has plenty of antique shops.

What is one of your best stories from Woodford County?

My best story from Woodford County was when I came to public high school after going to private schools almost all my life. I met so many new people and found a great group of friends.
