Catie Heermen: A True Best Friend

Catie Heerman is a senior at Woodford County High School. Catie is an outgoing and kind-hearted person who spreads laughter where ever she goes. If you’re ever in need of a good laugh she’s your girl. She was born and raised here in Woodford County but is definitely an L.A. girl at heart. Read this article to get to know the ambitious and spirited girl that is Catie Heermen and her story as a life long member of this community.


What is your favorite memory of Woodford county? 

When I went to the county fair with my best friend Anna Ward. 

What is one of your favorite things to do in Woodford county? 

Going to Thortons with my best buddy Anna Ward and getting freezies.

What makes you smile? 

Something that makes me smile is making plans with my girlfriends.

What is your favorite activity/hobby? 

My favorite hobby is shopping at Brandy Meliville.

What is one of your favorite moments with your friends in Woodford County? 

One of my favorite moments with my friends in Woodford county is going to Waffle House at 3 am with two of my closet friends after I threw a party.

What would you say to people just moving to Woodford County? 

Woodford County is a very closely-knit community this can be both a blessing and a curse. One of the best things that Woodford County can provide is a community that is very important in times of crisis but this is a double edge sword because everyone knows everyone.

What is one of your best stories from Woodford County? 

One of my favorite things that ever happened in Woodford County is getting to view the solar eclipse downtown with my best friend Anna since we were out of school for the day. 

What is your favorite place in Woodford County? 

My favorite place in Woodford County is this road called Pauls Mill; it’s this beautiful country road that crosses over a stream and goes past a horse farm.

What are your plans for after you graduate from Woodford County High School? 

I plan on attending college in Denver, Colorado, and majoring in political science.

What about Woodford County will you miss the most once you leave? 

I will miss my friends and family the most.
