Mollie Engdahl: Archery

Mollie Engdahl is a part of the class of 2020 at Woodford County High School.  For 2 years as a sport, Engdahl has participated in Archery during her upperclassmen years. During Engdahl´s elementary school years, it has always been a father-daughter tradition to attend Archery events. So how about we get to know Senior athlete Mollie Engdahl?

What is your greatest accomplishment?
The greatest accomplishment was making varsity and helping fellow teammates progress in archery.
What was your fondest memory of playing this sport?
My fondest memory of archery was during practice once when everyone was cracking jokes on the line in-between each other.
What is your personal goal for this sport?
For it to grow in numbers.
What emotions do you feel when you play well?
Definitely happy! May your arrow fly straight and true.
What do you do to calm your butterflies while you compete?
To calm myself I just take a breath of focus.
How does athletics make you a better student or worker?
As an athlete in archery, it teaches you to focus on your goal.
What advice would you give your underclassmen?
Enjoy the sport, progress, and have fun. Don’t take a bad day as a failure, rise up, and laugh.
Where do you plan on going to school next year? What do you plan on studying? 
I plan to attend Western Kentucky University. Apart from Western’s Language Program, I plan to become an escort interpreter.
Who is your role model? Who do you look up to?
My Aunt Mae is my role model.
