Technology Student Association (TSA)

A club for anyone interested in robotics or engineering.

What is TSA?

The Technology Student Association club is a robotics club. “Here at Woodford County, we mainly focus on Vex Robotics competitions,” said Jaid Goh (12), president of TSA.

What does TSA do?

Each year, Vex Robotics creates a new design challenge for students who will participate in competitions throughout the year. The students who are members of TSA will brainstorm, design, build, and program a robot that will gain the most points in the challenge when competing against other teams.

How does it help prepare students for the future?

Students who are in this club gain good engineering experiences. “It gives them exposure to programming and the engineering process,” said Goh. Students who are a part of this club will go through the engineering process several times in order to design a robot that will meet a demanding challenge. The team faces challenges similar to what an engineer might face during their career, therefore, students can receive that experience while they are in high school.
