Staying Positive with Mr. Brown

One of the newest additions to our school is Mr. Jaron Brown. He coaches basketball and teaches “School within a school.” This is his first year at our school and he is looking forward to his years at Woodford County High School.

Mr. Brown used to coach basketball and teach in Lexington at Martin Luther King Jr. Schools. During our interview, Mr. Brown said he decided to teach at WCHS because “there are a lot of positive people and it is a positive environment,” adding, “it is a good influence for myself and the kids,” explaining how he has enjoyed the school year so far. Brown considers relating to teens one of his strengths and considers his weaknesses to be “almost everything. Most things need improving.”

Mr. Brown helps his students at WCHS by “keeping them encouraged and pushing them to do well in class and do good in school.”

We are glad to have Mr.Brown at our school, and we hope to see him in the future years at WCHS!
