Coach Watts comes To WCHS is an insert from the Jacket Journal typed below:
“Coach Watts Comes To WCHS”
“Mr. Stan Watts is a new face around WCHS this year. He is teaching English and is an assistant coach for the Football team. Mr.Watts is from Casey Ky, in Fulton County, where he went to high school.
Mr.Watts attended Murray State University where he was a standout in football, as a kicker. He holds the OVC record for the longest field goals, which was 58 yards and is also the all-time leading scorer. After finishing college, Mr.Watts coached at Fulton County for four years before returning to school to get his master’s degree. When asked about how liked his new surroundings he said, “I’m finding everybody a real pleasure to work with.” Coach Cassity Commented, “He is a real asset to the program because he knows the game, what it takes to win, and the amount of effort it takes to win.”
Mr.Watts and his wife, Jan, now reside in Lexington. WCHS wishes him the best of luck this year.”
