Q: You were voted the most spirited girl by your peers… What do you think makes you the “most spirited”?

A: I think my peers voted me for most spirited because I LOVE spirit week and am constantly bouncing off the walls with excitement. Many of my classmates also know that I strongly believe that acting “too cool for school” is SO out of style!

Q: Why do you think that it is important for freshmen to have school spirit?

A: I think it’s super important for freshmen to jump into school spirit so that they can get involved with their school. Showing up to sporting events & screaming your heart out is how you make memories you will hold onto for a lifetime.

Q: How has having spirit overall impacted your high school experience?

A: Having a bursting amount of school spirit has made high school such a fun place to be. As I am about to graduate, I’m completely content with my high school experience knowing that I went to as many dances, pep rallies, and sporting events as I possibly could! WOFO 4L!!!

Q: You were voted the most spirited boy by your peers… What do you think makes you the “most spirited”?

A:  I think my enthusiasm and my energy make me the most spirited. Me being extremely loud also helps me get out there and show my spirit.

Q: Why do you think that it is important for freshmen to have school spirit?

A:  I think it is important for freshmen to have school spirit because when they continue to be in high school, they can show the underclassman what spirit is all about. I know now not that many freshmen have school spirit, but you know Woodford County, we are all about school spirit, so I hope they will grow in their school spirit.

Q: How has having spirit overall impacted your high school experience?

A: Having spirit definitely has changed my high school experience. To be at the games and cheering on people you know just feels great, and it is always so much fun and enjoyable.

The Spirit Pants

To the left, you can see a pair of black and yellow overalls:  better known to the students of Woodford County High school as the Spirit Pants. Each year, the spirit pants are passed down to the most spirited senior. Nick Ven, a former Woodford student, started the tradition of the spirit pants in 2018, and it has stuck ever since! Fabian Garcia had them in the 2021-2022 school year and when asked about them, he said, “I was honored to receive them, and it is great to be called the most spirited. I feel like it shows how much you really care for the school and my love for sports and spirit as well. It is sad I had to pass them down but the pants will always be memorable to me, and I’ve had lots of great memories in them as well.”

“Next up!! Haydon Wells”, Fabian says in regard to passing down the spirit pants at the last pep rally of the 2021-2022 school year. (Fabian Garcia )

At the last pep rally of the 2021-2022 school year, Garcia passed the spirit pants down to upcoming senior, Haydon Wells. Haydon is seen as an exceptionally spirited person and after receiving the pants she said, “I’m so excited to get the spirit pants!! I’m so hyped to go to all the games next year, and it will be such a fun tradition to pass down next year!!”
