Who is Anna Ward?
Spirited and talented, Anna Ward brings love wherever she goes. Anna is currently a Junior at Woodford County High School. She is a passionate and fun-loving soul with the talent to make everyone she meets laugh. Known for her beautiful singing voice and infectious laugh, Ward is part of the large community of incredible people that make up Woodford County.
What makes you smile?
I am rarely not smiling, but if I had to pick one cause for my smile, it would be the joy of spending time with the kids in my peer tutoring class.
What one of your favorite things to do in Woodford County?
One of my favorite things would be going to Dollar Tree with my best buddy Catie Heerman (nice) and getting cheap snacks which we eat in the parking lot while sharing a laugh.
What is your favorite hobby?
I love singing in my traveling chamber choir, the Lexington Singers Children’s Choir.
What is one of your favorite moments with your friends in Woodford County?
One of my favorite moments with my friends was when I, my exchange student Erika, and my best friend got ready for the Homecoming dance together in my Sophomore year.
What is one of your best stories from Woodford County?
The time I went to Leofest (the yearly carnival held at St. Leo school) with my best friend Catie. We both won crawdads and we tried playing with them and letting them run around on the sidewalk. We attempted to catch them and they attacked us so we had to ask an old man to catch them for us.
What is something you feel is important to tell people just moving to Woodford County?
This whole county is a united community. I want you to come and feel loved.
How has living Woodford County changed your life?
I have had the pleasure of meeting my closest friends here. I would not be who I am without them.
