October Birthdays!

Lucy Childers (12)

Lucy is a Senior at WCHS, and her birthday is on October 27. Lucy is turning 18 years old! She loves her birthday month because she loves Halloween and enjoys the weather. Lucy says, “The outfits are so cute.” Her 16th birthday has been her favorite one so far! She had a Halloween themed costume party. She and her closest friends had a lot of fun! Lucy celebrated her birthday by going to a Halloween Rocky Horror Picture Show. Lucy says, “I always go shopping with my mama and we have a big family dinner.” Every year, she goes to Red Light in Lexington to eat for her birthday.

Kali Ratcliff (12)

Kali is a Senior at WCHS, her birthday is on October 23. Kali is turning 18 years old! She celebrated her birthday by going out to eat to the Chophouse with her family. Kali said, “I love October weather! She loves her birth month.” She doesn’t have any specific place or meal to eat; it’s whatever she wants to eat that year. Her favorite birthday was when she was 8. Her friends invaded Boyd’s Orchard and the high school musical obsession began! Every year, her dad comes into her room in the middle of the night to surprise her with a huge cupcake and to sing happy birthday and watch her blow out her candles!

Tierra Adams (11)

Tierra is a Junior at WCHS, and her birthday is on October 8. Tierra is turning 17 years old! One of her friends took her to Texas Roadhouse because that is her absolute favorite place to eat; she loves their steak. Then, her friend took her to Build-A-Bear. Tierra said, “I’m still a kid–lol.” She enjoys her birth month, Halloween is one of her favorite holidays. She enjoys to dress up and she loves candy! Usually, she celebrates her birthday at her house, but she has caring friends that wanted to take her out and make her feel special on her big day! Her favorite birthday was her 5th birthday because of her granny throwing a huge birthday bash. All of her family came to see Tierra and brought her all kinds of gifts.

Noah Branham (11) 

Noah is a Junior at WCHS and his birthday is on October 2. Noah is turning 17 years old! He celebrated his birthday by going out to eat with his family and then he had to go to baseball practice. He likes to be with his family and celebrate with them, but he occasionally likes to have a party with his friends. Noah said, “October is the best month of the year. The weather is perfect and I look forward to Halloween.” His favorite birthday was his 16th birthday because he started driving and it relieved a lot of pressure off his parents and they didn’t have to worry about driving him everywhere. Every year, he has the option to pick what restaurant, and Noah said, “Definitely Chilis in Frankfort.”

Alyssa Hysell (10)

Alyssa is a Sophomore at WCHS, her birthday is on October 4. Alyssa is turning 16 years old! Alyssa celebrated her birthday by going to the Thomas Rhett concert. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family for her birthday but Alyssa said, “I love telling people it’s my birthday haha.” She loved the fall weather and the timing of her birthday month. Her 16th birthday has been her favorite birthday so far! Every year is different for her but she always enjoys her birthday. Her favorite meal to eat is chicken parmesan with her family!

Sarah Newman (10)

Sarah is a Sophomore at WCHS, her birthday is on October 1. Sarah is turning 16 years old! This is her favorite birthday so far because it’s her 16th and she can start driving. On her birthday she ate a bunch of food and ordered a bunch of things off of Amazon. Her birthday is usually around fall break! She hangs out with her family and watching Netflix. She enjoys eating at Wendy’s for her birthday. Sarah said, “I love their fries and their taco salads. Their frosty and fries are my favorite.”

Mckenzie Terry (9)  

Mckenzie is a Freshman at WCHS, and her birthday is on October 15. Mckenzie is turning 15 years old! Mckenzie celebrated her birthday by going out to eat and went to watch a movie with her friends and family. She loves having a birthday in October! Mckenzie said, “I love the weather and being able to wear sweaters.” This is her favorite birthday by far because she loves her friends because they are really fun to be around. Every year for her birthday, she goes to Canes; “I basically live there and love it very much,” said Mckenzie. But she enjoys eating dinner with her family, opening presents, and eating cake on her birthday!

Annika Blethen (9)

Annika is a Freshman at WCHS, and her birthday is on October 24. She is turning 15 years old! Annika celebrated her birthday by hanging out with close friends and watching scary movies “…because it’s spooky season,” said Annkia. Her favorite birthday was her 13th because it was really fun and she spent time with her closest friends. She would never wish to change her birth month as October is too special to her. Every year, Annika gets a pumpkin spice candle for her birthday. She always has lasagna because her mom has made it every year since she was little.
