The Catch on Big Fish

The play Big Fish is about a boy named Edward Bloom played by Luc Vandenbroek who has to face many challenges when it comes to his family and friends. He talks about his life full of adventure. Throughout the play and is constantly finding something new to do. Luc says, “Big Fish has been a great experience for me for many different reasons. It has challenged me to memorize the most lines I’ve ever had to and also to learn some of the most challenging music I’ve ever sung. I also have really enjoyed working with Rylie Sudduth. We have been best friends since 6th grade and have also been doing theatre together since then. I feel that our chemistry stems really naturally from having such a good friendship. This show has been so fun and I hope everyone got to experience it!” Kacee Francisco says, “After watching big fish she had more of an appreciation for the production and time it took for all of the actors to make such a wonderful play.” The play has a lot of twists and turns throughout it and didn’t lose my attention once. Throughout the play, Edward finds a girl and works for 3 years straight with no pay just to find this woman. Her name was Sandra, plaid by Rylie Sudduth. Rylie says, “Big Fish is my last show at WCHS and it couldn’t have been a better way to say goodbye! The cast was filled with so much heart and talent that I was constantly impressed! They were a wonderful creative team to support my endeavors in the arts. Be the hero of your story.” The play was one of the best plays I have ever seen in my whole life, I was amazed by everyone in the production, and I do not think that they could have done any better.
